Wayne Donald Horton killed four people in and around Las Vegas, Nevada, between 1972 and 1976: an unidentified woman, Edward Buccieri, 52, a shift boss at Caesars Palace, William Tinnell, a cab driver, and Calvin Brinson, 19, a cellmate. The killings arose from arguments and from holdups, and he used a jack handle, a firearm and a knife.

He was arrested in April 1976, sentenced to four terms of life imprisonment without parole later that year, and died in prison on January 3, 2010.

The sources disagree on his year of birth: the reference entry gives 1950 while the accompanying narrative says he was born in 1956. Neither can be resolved here, and the earlier figure is retained.
