Nine times now, a jury in Maceió has sat across from Albino Santos de Lima, and nine times it has convicted him. On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Fórum da Capital, jurors found him guilty of killing Mikaele Leite da Silva and the court sentenced him to 30 years. With that verdict, Alagoas prosecutors said, his sentences reached 234 years, 2 months and 13 days.

Mikaele Leite was killed in the Vergel do Lago neighborhood in the low-lying part of the city, near the Padaria do Tenório bakery in the Joaquim Leão housing estate. The prosecution charged Lima with homicide by a means that left her unable to defend herself, and said he came up on her from behind and killed her where she stood.

Prosecutor Adilza de Freitas told the jury that there had never been a relationship between them. By her account, the contact began during a live stream, when Lima, using the profile @guerracomanf, offered Mikaele 250 reais for sex. She refused. The prosecution said he then set about finding out who she was and followed her until he killed her. The defense denied that any such approach had taken place and said Lima never offered her money.

The defense also argued that he was not responsible for his actions. The jurors rejected it, accepting both aggravating circumstances the prosecution had alleged. "The jurors granted the prosecution's request and accepted that he was never insane, nor is he," de Freitas said afterward. She pointed to a psychiatric examination carried out during the case, which she said found that Lima fully understood that what he did was a crime and could act on that understanding.

Lima has been in custody since his arrest in 2024. His eighth conviction came on May 15, 2026, when he was sentenced to 29 years and a day for the killing of José Ilso Siqueira Filho, who was 24. The state prosecutor's office describes him as cold and calculating, and says the investigation found he planned his crimes in detail, down to folders holding his victims' identities and the dates on which they were to be killed. In court he has usually denied the killings, but prosecutors said that in August 2026 he admitted them in a national television report.

What this story covers. The verdict, the sentence, the new total and the trial arguments come from TNH1's report of October 7, 2026, which cites the Alagoas state prosecutor's office; the charge, the place of the killing, the May conviction and the prosecutors' description of the case come from that office's own release of October 6. That release, written before the trial, gave the motive as Mikaele refusing to resume a relationship with him, while the prosecutor argued at trial that there had never been one; the story follows the argument made in court. Accounts differ on when Mikaele was killed and on her age, so neither is given here. The quotation is translated from Portuguese.
