Matthew Steven Johnson killed three women in Hartford, Connecticut over about a year. All three were sex workers with drug dependencies, and the deaths were treated separately until he was arrested.

He was born in 1963. Aida Quinones, thirty-three, Rosali Jimenez, thirty-three, and Alesia Ford, thirty-seven, were beaten or strangled between 2000 and 2001. He was arrested on January 13, 2002, initially on charges relating to two of the deaths.
