She was born in 1960. Julian Webb died in 1994 at their home in West Sussex; the death was recorded at the time as suicide by overdose. She had defrauded him and others over years, running fictitious identities and false stories, and had married more than one man without dissolving an earlier marriage.
In 2000 she was tried for the attempted murder of another husband, Richard Thompson, whom she had attacked, and was acquitted of that charge while being convicted of deception offences. The Webb case was reopened, and in 2003 she was convicted of his murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
