Farrington was born in 1968 and lived in Freeport, on Grand Bahama. In 2002 he killed Jamaal Robinson, twenty-two, with whom he had a relationship. Between then and 2003 he killed four boys: Mackinson Colas, eleven; Junior Reme, eleven; DeAngelo McKenzie, thirteen; and Desmond Rolle. They were beaten and stabbed, and the bodies were left in a pine forest outside the town, where they were found in 2003.
The disappearances of the boys had caused a long period of fear in Freeport. He surrendered to police on October 26, 2003 and confessed.
He was sentenced to death in 2006. On October 15, 2008 the sentence was commuted, following the Privy Council's rulings that mandatory death sentences in Caribbean jurisdictions were unconstitutional, and on September 30, 2010 he was resentenced to life imprisonment.
