Kibble was born in 1971. Her first son, Joshua, seventeen months, died on August 4, 1986, when she was fourteen. Edward, seven months, died on July 1, 1988. Quentin, an infant, died on February 23, 1990. Each death was attributed at the time to sudden infant death or accident.
The deaths were reviewed together and she was charged. She pleaded guilty and on January 14, 1997 received three sentences of fifteen years to life.
She was a child herself at the first death. That is the fact this entry has to carry alongside the three deaths, and the accessible reporting does not engage with it at all: a fourteen-year-old mother in Houston in 1986 whose baby died, and who had two more children who also died before anyone examined the sequence.
