Alexander Watson was convicted of one murder in 1994 and of three more thirteen years later, when DNA linked him to killings in Maryland that had been unsolved since he was a teenager.

He was born in 1970. The first death attributed to him happened in 1986, when he was sixteen. Boontem Anderson, thirty-four, was killed that year. Lisa Haenel, fourteen, and Debra Cobb, thirty-seven, followed. In 1994 he was convicted of the murder of Elaine Shereika, thirty-seven, a runner attacked near her home in Anne Arundel County, and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

He was already serving that sentence when DNA testing connected him to the other three deaths. He pleaded guilty and on August 16, 2007 received three consecutive life terms. The victims were strangled or stabbed, and rape was charged. He remains in prison in Maryland.
