BABY ("ANGEL BABY") FIREFLY
Baby is a fictional character created by Rob Zombie. She was portrayed by Sheri Moon in House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. Baby was born September 12, 1948 in the rural community of Ruggsville County. She was born as Vera-Ellen Wilson to parents Mother Firefly and Captain Spaulding. As a child, Vera-Ellen showed signs of mania and psychosis; at the age of seven she stabbed a school mate in the eye with a home-made knife. Around this time, Otis B. Driftwood, a violent psychopath, roamed into Ruggsville County, and the family took him in. He formed a deep bond with his new adopted family, the Fireflys, and especially taking a liking with Vera-Ellen. Driftwood then nicknamed his new sister "Angel Baby". Beginning sometime in the 1970s, Baby and Driftwood began a spree of murders across the country. They documented their exploits in a series of diaries and scrapbooks. Later, in the winter of 1976, Baby returned to Ruggsville alone and resumed her life on the Firefly farm.
The Films
The squeaky-voiced, childlike Baby was probably one of the more comedic characters from the first film. A statuesque beauty with boundless, youthful energy, she blended in easily with the outside world, making her the perfect lure for the family's victims. She was also an expert with firearms and knives. By the time of the first film, Baby was wanted for first degree murder, armed robbery, grand theft auto, and prostitution.
Baby became a much darker character in the sequel, exhibiting a strong sadistic streak. The sequel also delved into more detail about her relationship with her father, Captain Spaulding, which was absent from the first film. The two share a deep bond. When they are captured by Sheriff Wydell, Spaulding tries to take credit for one of Baby's crimes so she won't be tortured.
At the climax of the film, Baby is shot down by the police along with Captain Spaulding and Otis B. Driftwood.

On October 31, 2002 she eloped with long time boyfriend Robert Cummings (also known as Rob Zombie) after almost 13 years of dating. In 2002, Sheri has co-starred in her husband's first feature film, House of 1000 Corpses. She quickly became an icon among horror fans as Vera-Ellen "Baby" Firefly. As Sheri explains her character in that film, "Baby is the bait for her psychotic family to lure victims. She ultimately has higher aspirations of Hollywood stardom but is stuck with her redneck, mass-murdering family." In 2004, she had a brief appearance in the film Toolbox Murders, the only film she has been in not directed by Rob. She reprised her role as "Baby" in the 2005 hit sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, titled The Devil's Rejects.
Prior to her role in House of 1000 Corpses, Sheri had expressed an interest in doing cartoon voice overs, but took the role in House of 1000 Corpses instead. She provides the voice for the character of Susie X in the upcoming animated film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, written and produced by her husband Rob Zombie.
Sheri is currently completing work on her new clothing line, Total Skull, which debuted at the end of May 2006.
It is now confirmed by SheriMoonBoards.com that she will appear in her husband's version of the 1978 classic Halloween,. This information was released by Sheri Moon's personal assistant. On January 5, 2007, Rob Zombie announced on his official Myspace that Sheri Moon will be playing Deborah Myers, the mother of Michael Myers.
